About
Malatesta & Sales - Sociedade de Advogados is an artisanal law firm, where partners Jonas Sales and Fábio Malatesta work with a few customers, bringing more attention and humanization to each case. Their goal is to keep things formal, without making the service plastered, with technological support and a lighter touch. To this end, a modern brand was chosen, with a more minimalist touch, using only typography and its shapes as visual resources along with colors.
The Brand
For the visual aspect, the brand's personality attributes were considered, helping with identification. The words chosen to represent this personality were:
Construction
Even in a typographic brand, we managed to bring the desired attributes in its combination of fonts, weight distribution and shape design. With denser shapes and a square serif as the main font, accompanied by a light sans-serif, with well-distributed weight, we bring the ideal balance with a brand that doesn't bring “more of the same”. Both are extremely versatile and are free, bringing more practicality and adaptability to different contexts where only writing can speak.
Graphic x Symbol
This brand doesn't have a symbol. It has simple geometric shapes, such as squares and rectangles, which complement the typographic structure of this font. They don't have to be used, but they bring more breath, color and shape to the brand. They can be used together with the typeface or separately in different applications.
Monogram
The brand has no complementary symbol to help identify the brand without the presence of typography. Therefore, since the name of the partners, even in the 2-line version, was quite long, we built monogram versions with just the initials for situations in which the full version of the brand would not be recognizable.
Colors
The colors were chosen before the brand was created and the result presented here is a combination of them. Royal blue is the main color in the applications, followed by yellow/gold, which can be used with blue or white when in negative.
